Visiting Granny and Aunt Barbie

Today Mommy took me to my Granny's house to visit with her and Aunt Barbie. I had a good time! Granny and I had a special duct tape moment...

And I got to ride around in a box car... (gosh, I'm SO funny!)

And I got to play with all Granny's Elmos! It was lots of fun, and I want to visit Granny again soon. Granny, just make sure the biscuits and gravy are ready for me!

Coloring Is Hard

Today, I didn't feel very good (Mommy says it's because I'm getting so many new teeth right now) so Mommy and I played quiet games all day. One of the things we did was worked on my coloring skills. Mommy was proud of the picture I did, but I'll have to tell you, coloring is hard! Kallie, you sure were right about that!

My Swimming Pool

I may be the luckiest kid ever! Yesterday, after my nap, Mommy took me outside and let me play in my very own Zackie sized pool! It was tons of fun! I splashed and played until I was all wrinkled up. I can't wait to see what fun new stuff Mommy comes up with today!

My Mommy is Magical!

Yesterday, when Mommy put me down for my nap, she told me that we would have a fun afternoon, but I had no idea it would be this much fun! When I fell asleep, we just had a normal back yard, but when I woke up, it was a magical water park! I ran through the sprinklers, slid down the slide, splashed, played, and had the best time! I'm still not sure how Mommy managed to get all this fun stuff into my back yard, but I sure hope it's still there today!

Mommy and Daddy and Aunt Barbie took me to the Zoo!

And I'm just going to be completely honest about it. I think Daddy had a better time than I did. Oh, it wasn't bad or anything. I just got kinda bored about it. I really liked watching the people walk by, and I saw a bunch of really cute little girls in strollers with their Mommies and Daddies, so I got to flirt a little bit, but it seemed like they were always going in the other direction...

The thing that I'm really happy about, though, was that Daddy seemed to have a really good time. He works too hard sometimes, so it's good that he has an opportunity to just play.

We posed on a bunch of different statues...

And Daddy really loved feeding the birds.

I was pretty tired by the end of the day, but it was worth it to see Daddy have such a good time!

Mommy went to Florida, and all I got was a busted up face...

Well, I guess that wasn't ALL I got. I got some darn good breakfast, too. Mommy always feeds me stuff like oatmeal, bananas, fruit, toast, you know, healthy, boring stuff. Daddy feeds me EGGS and HASH! There's nothing bad about eggs and hash... Plus, Mommy brought me back some fun souveniers from her time in Florida, so it wasn't a total loss. But the worst thing that happened while Mommy was gone was that I had a little accident and my nose got all busted up. Daddy was pretty upset about it, but it's about healed now. Hopefully, it won't even scar too much.

I'm thinking of a career as a baby supermodel...

Here's the required "wind in my hair" pose...

And here's the "faraway look in my eyes" pose...

And finally, here's a good "sunlight washing over me" pose. Hey, when do I start getting paid for this?

What's a garter?

The reason that I'm asking is that I caught one at Uncle Gary's reception the other night. He threw it, and I was nearby, so I caught it. I've been working on my catching skills by playing ball with Daddy, and it seemed to just be the thing to do. Everyone laughed and seemed to think it was pretty funny. I wasn't really sure what it was, and it looked kind of like one of Mommy's hairbands, so I kept calling it a hat.

Whatever it is, I think it looks nice with my eyes, don't you?

I got to play on a REAL TRACTOR!

So many exciting things have been happening. First of all, a couple of weeks ago, my Uncle Gary got married. Now, I have a brand new Aunt Angie! Yesterday, Mommy and Daddy took me to something called a "reception" for them. I don't care what they want to call it, it was just plain fun. My favorite part about the place was a great big John Deere tractor that looked JUST LIKE my toy tractors.

Daddy let me sit in the seat and pretend to drive it. He started looking a little nervous a few times when I tried to push some buttons and to pull some levers on it, but it all worked out ok, I guess, even though I could never get the darn thing started.

Attached to the back to the tractor was a little red wagon that I could climb all over. It was pretty fun, too. It was over before I knew it, but Mommy and Daddy said there would be more fun after we went inside. They were right. I'll write more about all the other fun times later.

Me and My Cat

This is my cat. His name is "Cat." Well, Mommy and Daddy call him something like "Tiberius," but if you ask me, that's just a bunch of nonsense. He's Cat. Besides, that's the first real word I learned to say, and I learned how to walk because I wanted to get Cat so bad, and he was faster than me when I crawled.

Cat and I have so much in common. We like to play peek-a-boo and to hide in boxes, and we both look like our Asian ancestors when we get mad!

One of the first things that I like to do in the morning (notice the bed head!) is to find Cat and pet him. He's never said so, but I think that gets his day off to a great start, too.

Sometimes Cat likes to try to get away from me. I don't really find that acceptable, and sometimes extreme measures are necessary to keep him close by. Mommy and Daddy get upset and try to keep me from pulling Cat's tail, but Cat doesn't mind. He told me so himself.

A Daddy and Zackie Day

A few weeks ago, Daddy and I had a fun "Daddy & Zackie Day." We have these days sometimes when Mommy needs a break. Well, anyway, first thing, we got up and went to get our hair cut. Daddy says a man should always look his best. Then next, we went to Steak & Shake and had pancakes for breakfast. I liked mine pretty well, but Daddy's had whip cream, so I helped him eat his, too.

After breakfast, we went to the park, where we played on the swings...

And in the tunnel...

And in all the mazes...

I sure was tired when we got home, but it was so much fun! I can't wait till our next "Daddy & Zackie Day!"

Elmo and the Fifi

One of my most treasured possessions is my Fifi. (I think maybe you grown-ups call it a pacifier.) I love to keep Fifi with me all the time, and sometimes I get sad when I don't have it nearby. But the other day, Mommy suggested that I share it with Elmo, so I let him have a few minutes with it. Mommy said I was a good boy to share, but I'm not so sure this whole "sharing" thing is something I want to keep doing. I mean, who can promise me that I'll always get my stuff back?
